Welcome to the Real Estate RealTime Administration Section Demo.
If you can type, here you will be able to:
  1. Add new real estate listings
  2. Update current listings
  3. Remove listings

For each listing you will be able to display as much or as little information as you desire.  Based on the information you enter the system creates a unique property listing page that displays:

  • Property photos, up to 9 pictures showcasing each property
  • Complete property information including description, basic information, and a detailed features listing
  • Printable flyers that includes property information, property pictures, and your contact information
  • Mortgage information calculated using the price information
  • Location maps
  • Agent's information with agent photo
  • A custom contact form for each listing that will be sent directly to your email box
  • Remote virtual tours such as IPIX
  • Send to a Friend feature that allows the listing page to be emailed

ALL OF THIS DONE IN  REAL TIME.   No waiting for your listing to be posted or updated! 

You simply fill out the form provided and click submit.  That's it!   Fields that are left blank will simply not appear in the listing.

Restrictions:
1)  When entering your information do not use the quotation symbol ( " ).   If you need to put something in quotes, or use the symbol for the inch sign, use instead double apostrophes ( '' ).  It looks the same, the quotation symbol is used by the program and will cause data errors when editing records.

2) Do not use the "#" symbol as a number sign.  This symbol will cause your number to be ignored when displaying results.

3) For best results type product information directly into each input field.  If you choose to copy and paste input from a work processor some limitations apply.  When creating text in a word processor, do not use formatting features such as the tab key or block quotes etc.,  as this will transfer formatting symbols with the text and may cause information to be displayed incorrectly.

4)  Photos must be in either gif or jpeg formats.  Photo views should not exceed 300 pixels in width. Larger images can distort page views.   Your web site will be viewed by a wide variety of computer types.

ADDING LISTINGS TO YOUR WEB SITE
Adding products to your web site has never been easier.  Simply fill out the form provided on your administration section's real estate page.  Fields left blank will simply not appear with the listing on your web site.  Here's a quick review of the fields provided and their functions:

  1. Listing Status: Listing status determines whether or not the listing will display on your web site.  Clicking the ''Active'' box will make your listing visible.  Clicking the ''Archive'' box will store your listing in your listing database, but will not display it on your web site.
  2. Display Key: The display key determines where your listing will be displayed.  Clicking the ''Global'' box will allow your listing universal coverage throughout all real estate web sites which contain the iNET RealTime System, including Louisiana Gumbo's new real estate listings guide.  Clicking the ''Restricted'' button will restrict your listing's accessibility to your web site.
  3. Class:  Simply click the arrow on the drop down box next to the ''Class'' field and choose the appropriate category for your listing.  Ex: Residential, Commercial Lease, Industrial Site, etc.
  4. Price:  Enter the price in the ''Price'' field.   This program is designed to include a dollar symbol automatically when information is included in this field.  For this reason, restrict this field to actual number amounts.  Ex. The following are all acceptable entries for the price field:   1,500,000 , 1140 per month , 3050 monthly with buy option.  If you wish to enter something other than a number, like ''call for pricing information'', or ''summer purchase special'', please do so in the description field.  Otherwise, these words will be preceded by a dollar sign, which will look awkward.
  5. MLS:  Enter the MLS listing number here.
  6. Style and Construction:  List style and construction mini phrases here.
  7. Main Photo:  The listings main photo will appear here.   Simply click the ''Browse'' button to search your computer files for the appropriate photo.  Once you have chosen a photo, that photo's address will appear in this box and will be uploaded when your listing is submitted.  If you do not have a photo, just leave this field blank and a ''No Photo Available'' graphic will appear with the listing.
  8. Year Built, Stories, Bedrooms, Baths, Square Feet, Garage, Lot Size/Acreage, Area:  Simply enter the appropriate number, word, or phrase into these fields appropriate to your listing.  Again, you may choose to leave any of these fields blank, and the field will simply not show up with your listing on your web site.
  9. Banner:  Use this field to add a heading that will appear above your listing in bold print.  It can be used to bring attention to a featured listing, a reduced listing, a listing with a unique feature, etc.
  10. Description:  Use this field to enter detailed information about your listing in paragraph form.  There is no limit to the text amount you can include here, so you can be as brief or as detailed as you like.
  11. Features:  Use this field to enter detailed information in list form.  Simply type each word or phrase of your list, using a hard return between each.  The items in this field will include bullets before each list item.
  12. Address, City, State, Zip, County:  Use these fields to include the location information of your listing.
    Listing Agent Information:  Use this area to include contact information of the listing agent or agency that holds the listing.  In addition to contact information, there are fields for the agents photo and agency logo.  Simply click the ''Browse'' button and select the appropriate picture from your computer.  These pictures will be uploaded when your add this record to your database.
  13. Additional Photos:  Use these fields to include additional pictures to your listing.  As with the main photo, simply click the ''Browse'' button and select the appropriate photo from your computer.  Repeat this procedure for each additional photo you would like to include, up to 8.
    You may also include a remote tour of your listing in this section.  In the ''Remote Tour'' field, type or paste the address of the remote tour.
  14. When you have completed the form, simply click the ''Add Record'' button below the form and your listing's information will be uploaded your iNET RealTime database instantly.

EDITING A LISTING

  1. Use the ''Search Listings'' box under the ''Search, Edit, or Delete a Property Listing'' section at the top of your administration section's real estate page.  To view all listings in your database, leave the box blank and click the ''Search Listings'' button.  To search for a specific listing, use something unique to that listing for a search.  Ex: address, city, building name, listing agent, etc.
  2. Click the "Edit'' button below the listing you wish to edit.
  3. The edit page will have the same appearance as the add item page with the current information.  Modify, add, or remove listing information and click the "Edit Record" button when you are finished.  The listing information will be updated instantly.

DELETING A LISTING

  1. Use the ''Search Listings'' box under the ''Search, Edit, or Delete a Property Listing'' section at the top of your administration section's real estate page.  To view all listings in your database, leave the box blank and click the ''Search Listings'' button.  To search for a specific listing, use something unique to that listing for a search.  Ex: address, city, building name, listing agent, etc.
  2. Click the "Delete'' button below the listing you wish to delete.
  3. The system will ask you to confirm the delete function.   Click the "Delete Record" button.

FORMATTING LISTING PICTURES
Should you need to format pictures for any of the listings you will display on your web site, here are some tips which will make the job a bit easier.
Pictures have to be in digital format stored on your computer.  Pictures stored on your computer can be edited by a variety of graphic programs.  Two that we recommend are Adobe PhotoShop Elements and Paint Shop Pro. Both do an excellent job and are under $100.00.   Trial versions can be download at http://download.com.  

Formatting for the web can be done in 3 easy steps:

  1. Open the image file in your graphics program. 
  2. Adjust color and contrast. 
  3. Resize the image to a width 300 pixels.  Only specify the width when resizing and let the graphics program maintain the aspect ratio.  Save the image in the  jpeg format with an file extension of .jpg.  This is done using the "Save As" feature from the file menu.
  4. Save the photo to a location on your computer where you can locate it easily.  Example: In the My Photos directory.
    Note: When naming image files do not leave spaces in the name or use special character such as #,*,=,etc.   
    Tip: Name the picture with either the address of the listing, MLS number, or some other term unique to that listing.  By doing this you will avoid confusion later.
